Rennline ExactFit Phone Mounts for Porsche: Fitment, MagSafe and Wireless Charging
Porsche has never been especially interested in where you put your phone. Depending on the car you get a shallow cubby, a cupholder that swallows it, or nothing at all — and the aftermarket answer has usually been a vent clip that rattles, a suction mount that lets go on a hot day, or an adhesive pad that takes the dash finish with it when you remove it.
Rennline's ExactFit mounts take the opposite approach: a bracket machined for one specific chassis, bolted to existing hardware, with nothing stuck to anything. This guide covers which one fits your car, how MagSafe works with them, and what the wireless charging version actually adds.
What Makes It “ExactFit”
Each mount is a vehicle-specific bracket rather than a universal clamp. Where possible it reuses OEM hardware, so on most cars it's a bolt-in job measured in minutes and not a permanent modification. The bracket is 20-gauge steel in satin black powder coat, and the ball is 17mm aluminium — so it also accepts any other accessory built around a standard 17mm ball.
The practical benefit is that it doesn't move. A vehicle-specific bracket anchored to structure behaves very differently from a vent clip when you're carrying speed through a corner.
Yes, They're MagSafe
Every current ExactFit mount is MagSafe compatible. Put a MagSafe iPhone against it and it holds — no adhesive ring, no steel disc stuck to the back of your phone, nothing glued to a case you might replace next year.
Rennline previously sold a generation that relied on an adhesive steel ring, and out-of-date information about it is still circulating. That design is discontinued. If you're buying an ExactFit mount today, it's the MagSafe one.
One practical note: if you run a case, use a MagSafe-compatible case. A thick case without MagSafe magnets puts too much distance between the phone and the mount, and the hold gets noticeably weaker.
So What Does the More Expensive Version Buy You?
Wireless charging — and only wireless charging. Both versions hold a MagSafe phone identically.

On almost every chassis both are variants of the same listing, so pick your car first and choose the version on the product page. The newest bracket, the PM01.102, is the one exception — standard mount only for now.

Where the charging version draws power
The wireless version needs a USB power source: a factory USB port or a USB cigarette-lighter adapter. The USB to USB-C cable is included. On modern Porsches the tidy route is to run the cable behind the console trim to a factory port; on older cars a lighter-socket adapter is the simplest answer.
Already own a mount?
The PM70 Wireless Induction Charger ($95) is the upgrade head on its own. It replaces the magnet on an ExactFit bracket you already have — it is not a complete mount, so only order it if the bracket is already in the car.

A few notes on the table. The PM01.102 is the newest bracket, covering the facelift Cayenne (9Y0.2) and the electric Macan — it's currently a standard mount only, with no wireless charging version. Which Version Should You Buy?
- You want the phone charging while it's mounted: the wireless version for your chassis.
- You charge by cable, or mostly drive short distances: the standard mount does the same holding job for half the money.
- Older Porsche with no USB port: either works — the wireless version just needs a lighter-socket adapter.
- Right-hand drive car: check for an RHD variant before ordering. The 911/964/993, Cayenne, Panamera and 991/981/718 console mounts all have one.
- Thick case: switch to a MagSafe-compatible case, or the hold will disappoint you.

The Bottom Line
Pick the bracket for your exact chassis and drive side, then decide whether you want it charging as well as holding. Both versions are MagSafe; the only question is whether the cable stays in the glovebox. It's a twenty-minute job that solves a problem Porsche never quite got round to.
