About Verus Engineering - Porsche 987 Cayman

The 987 Cayman is one of the best-handling chassis Porsche has built, and it responds unusually well to aero. The factory car generates very little downforce at either axle, so there is real headroom here — a well-matched Verus package transforms how the car behaves above 80 mph without touching the suspension.

What's available for the 987

  • Rear Wing Kit including DuckTail — the full rear treatment, wing plus integrated ducktail spoiler
  • UCW Rear Wing Kit including Carbon Spoiler — the optimized-airfoil wing with a carbon spoiler element
  • Carbon Rear Diffuser — autoclave-cured carbon planes with replaceable polyurethane strakes
  • Front Splitter and Air Dam Kit — note this fits 987.2 only
  • Side Splitter Kit — seals the airflow along the flanks and works with the front splitter
  • Dive Plane Kit — the simplest way to add front-axle load
  • Underbody Cover Kit — smooths the floor and feeds the diffuser properly

987.1 vs 987.2

These are not interchangeable across the whole range. The front splitter and air dam kit fits the 987.2 bumper only. The rear diffuser, wings, side splitters, dive planes and underbody covers cover both 987.1 and 987.2. Check the Fitment section on each listing before ordering.

Building the package

The diffuser and the underbody cover are designed as a system — the diffuser works considerably better with a smooth floor ahead of it, so if budget allows, buy them together rather than the diffuser alone. On the front, dive planes are the cheapest meaningful gain; the splitter and air dam kit is the bigger step and the right partner for a rear wing. Adding the wing without front aero will make the car push at speed.
