How to measure: run a tape around your head at the widest point, about 2.5 cm (1 in) above your eyebrows and just above your ears.
Bell's numeric sizes ARE your head circumference in centimetres. If you measure 58 cm, you buy a 58. The carbon and Pro helmets (GT6, RS7, HP6, HP7, HP10, M.8 Carbon, GP3, GTX.3, Mag-10 Pro, KC7 karting) are sold this way.
Bell's Sport-line helmets use letter sizes instead — K.1 Sport, K.1 Pro, M.8, M.8 Sport, Sport Mag, Mag Open Face, GP3 Sport, BR8 Air, Mag Rally and RS7-K Pro. Use the Letter size column for those.
Intermediate sizes (56+, 57-, 59+, 61+) are in-between fits offered on some carbon and Pro shells for a head that falls between two whole centimetres. Bell does not publish a measurement for them, so if you land between sizes send us your measurement and we will tell you which one to take.
A racing helmet should be snug. It should not rotate independently of your head, and after ten minutes on you should feel even pressure with no hot spots. Inches are converted from Bell's centimetre figures and rounded.

Sizing is from the manufacturer and varies between brands. Measure yourself and compare against the table rather than ordering your usual street size.
