OVERVIEW
Today's braking systems available in modern performance cars are more advanced than ever, combining daily drivability with high-performance characteristics previously only available in some of the world's top sports cars. However, all modern performance cars still suffer from one common enemy: heat.
The Verus Engineering Brake Cooling Kit is configured in an OEM-style format, with emphasis on the shortest route possible. Utilizing a custom bumper duct and a well-formed duct on the backing plate, this kit directs airflow into the center of the rotor. The inlet of the kit is a state-of-the-art 3D printed carbon nylon duct that promotes and improves flow through the brake cooling kit. The kit comes with everything necessary for an install, including pre-cut hoses.
During the design process, we utilized in-house scan data and CFD from the VB WRX. This resulted in a product that features an OEM fit and finish.
The brake cooling kit was designed for owners looking to reduce brake fade and improve the thermal characteristics of the brakes on the Subaru WRX (VB).

Science:
By harnessing he high-pressure airflow at the front of the bumper and forcing it into the center of the rotor, we increase the cooling capacity of either OEM or Aftermarket Brake Systems.
The carbon nylon bumper duct looks OEM and improves airflow into the high-temp silicone brake hose. The stainless steel duct and the backing plate were both designed to direct and increase airflow to the center of the rotor, further improving cooling.
The Brake Cooling Kit is designed to provide increased cooling capacity to the entire braking system, resulting in higher and more consistent performance, lower lap times, and a better driving experience.
