About Hawk DTC-60 Brake Pads

DTC-60 is the one most club racers actually run. Hawk position it as similar to the DTC-70 but with less torque and initial bite, and improved pad wear — which in practice means a pad you can lean on all weekend rather than one you replace after it.

Hawk recommend it for lighter-weight front axle applications, or as part of a split friction setup paired with DTC-70. That pairing is the useful bit: DTC-70 at the front for bite, DTC-60 at the rear to keep the car settled under threshold braking.

It carries the torque control the DTC series is known for, with first-rate modulation and release. Hawk call it a good choice for cars needing high deceleration rates, with or without downforce. Pads are listed by part number — HB100G.480, where HB100 is the shape and G is DTC-60.
