Collection: Hawk DTC-70 Brake Pads

DTC-70 is the top of Hawk's racing range — their words, not ours: the top-of-the-line racing brake pad compound, at the top of the DTC series.

High initial bite and torque, while still providing superior pad and disc wear. What separates it from simply being the most aggressive pad on the shelf is torque control: Hawk cite exceptional control with superb modulation and release characteristics. A pad that bites hard and will not let go is a pad that locks a wheel.

This is a race compound. It needs heat to work, so it is the wrong choice for a street car or a first track day — start at HT-10 or HP Plus. Many cars run it at the front with DTC-60 at the rear, which is Hawk's own split-friction recommendation. Pads are listed by part number — HB101U.800, where HB101 is the shape and U is DTC-70.
