Collection: Everything Performance Friction Brakes

Everything Performance Friction — race pads by compound number, two-piece floating rotors, hardware and fluid. Heavily Porsche, strongly BMW.

About Everything Performance Friction Brakes

Performance Friction build track-first, and the catalogue reflects it — the range is narrower than Hawk's because it is not trying to cover a commute. Everything PFC make that we stock is on this page: pads, rotors, hardware and fluid.

Pads, by compound

PFC identify compounds by number, and the number is the whole decision. Higher is not simply better — it is hotter, and a race compound run below its temperature window gives you less brake than the pad you replaced.

  • 11 — the largest range here and PFC's successor to the 01. Very high initial bite and torque, with better pad and rotor wear than the compound it replaced.
  • 08 — the endurance compound. Smooth initial bite, very low disc wear, and the longest-wearing pad PFC make.
  • 01 — the one PFC built their name on. Still specified on plenty of cars.
  • 97 — less bite than the 01, very flat torque curve, low wear. The club-racing and track-day choice, and the Spec Miata pad here.

Also stocked in smaller numbers: 03, 06, 13, 14, 15, 19, 39, 81, 82, the 331/332/333 TCR and GT4 Clubsport pads, Carbon Metallic and Z-Rated.

Rotors

PFC rotors are two-piece and fully floating — V1, V2 and V3 Direct Drive discs, plus rotor-and-hat assemblies and caliper piston kits. They are designed to run as a matched set with PFC pads rather than mixed across brands, and they are handed, so check left or right before ordering.

Finding your part

Fitment here is heavily Porsche — 991 GT3, Cayman GT4, 997 GT3, 991 Cup and 992 GT3 Cup — with strong BMW coverage behind it. Most of it is listed as PFC rather than “Performance Friction”, which is why searching the full name finds so few. Pads use PFC's four-part number, as in 0918.11.19.44: the first block is the pad shape, the second is the compound. If you know your shape, search that number rather than your car, and check it against PFC's application guide before ordering.
